Sylvion S. Moss
A graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara, Sylvion Moss began a career in politics before enrolling in the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, where she earned a Juris Doctorate degree in 1998. After serving as a law clerk at the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit of Virginia, Sylvion joined the Prince William, Virginia office of Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley, Emrich & Terpak, P.C., where she practiced in the firm’s land use litigation and business transactions groups until relocating to Birmingham, Alabama in 2005. Sylvion took five years off from practicing law, and returned to the legal field in 2010, becoming a member of the Alabama bar in 2011. In both Virginia and Alabama, Sylvion has focused her practice on real estate matters and business transactions, including state and federal litigation in the areas of zoning, land use, tax appeals, and business/contractual matters, as well as business formation. Sylvion also works in the area of wills and trusts, a natural outgrowth of her real estate practice. Sylvion is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell™.
Sylvion is an active member of the Alabama State Bar and the State Bar of the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, where she serves on the Scholarship Committee and in the Women’s Law Section. Sylvion is a member of Independent Presbyterian Church, is past president of The Charity League of Birmingham, and in 1994 traveled to Argentina and Uruguay as a delegate to the American Council of Young Political Leaders.
