Walter F. Scott III
Walter Scott graduated from the University of Virginia in 1982 and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1985. Walter has over 25 years of experience representing individuals and companies in a wide range of real estate law and litigated matters involving contracts, wills and estate law, eminent domain, homeowners’ associations, insurance, landlord/tenant, professional negligence, real estate, tort, business entity disputes, real estate titles, title insurance and ad valorem taxes. Prior to joining Galloway, Scott, Moss & Hancock, LLC, Walter served as CEO and General Counsel of Jefferson Title Corporation, one of the top title companies in Alabama. Prior to the title business, Walter was Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Saks Incorporated, a retailer operating under several names including Saks Fifth Avenue, Herberger’s, Younkers and McRae’s, and worked in the areas of contracts, employment matters and litigation.
Walter participates actively in the community. He is a member of the UAB Palliative Care Board and has served on the Exceptional Foundation Board of Directors from 2007 to present. Walter previously served as a board member of the American Counsel Association, the Alabama Retail Association and the Business Council of Alabama.
